Act Like Easter People: Surprised by Confidence

We continue to consider how the Easter people of Acts acted, and what we can learn from them as Easter people today. In Acts 4:5-13 we see Peter and John defying expectations of the Sanhedrin by acting not like people whose leader had been killed, but like people who knew the truth of the resurrection.

In our prayer time, we shared about the General Conference of the United Methodist Church that begins on Tuesday. The email with information about this says, in part:

Holston clergy and laity are invited to be part of a prayer vigil during the upcoming General Conference, April 23-May 3 in Charlotte, NC. You have an opportunity to sign-up individually or for your congregation to fill a large block of time to pray in 30-minute segments the 48 hours prior to General Conference as well as throughout General Conference. To signup click here or click the sign-up button at the bottom of the post…. We invite you to pray for our delegation….
