Most followers of Jesus are familiar with The Beatitudes. We may not realize that they are not prescriptions for how to behave but rather an autobiographical list of Christ's characteristics. We examine 1 John3:1-3 alongside Matthew 5:1-12 to see what it might mean for Jesus-followers to be like Him.
