What happens when the church you’ve loved for over a century feels like it’s entering a season of winter? In this sermon based on John 10:22–30, preached during the season of Easter and set at the time of the Festival of Dedication, we explore what it means to be still known and still called—even when the pews are emptier than they used to be. Drawing from the history behind Hanukkah, the witness of the Good Shepherd, and the lived story of a small but faithful congregation, this message is a call to rededicate—not start over, but reclaim what already belongs to God. Jesus is still walking among us. The Shepherd’s voice still calls. And the story is not over.
