Honor Her
Yes, I know it’s a Hallmark Card holiday.
And, yes, for a lot of reasons Mother’s Day can be painful for people. I don’t discount that. The exceptions should be honored as well.
Still, it is right and proper to honor those who have served humanity in this difficult role. My own mother has been gone for nine years now. When I read Proverbs 31:31, I immediately think of my wife and all that her hands have done (and continue to do) for so many.
Today is a day to recognize those who have worked to care for us and for those around us. It may have been someone other than your biological mother, but someone has cared for you.
Let us pause and recognize that.
Show her respect—
praise her in public
